The Content Creator Who Built His Agency From Scratch
Michael Moore鈥檚 journey from zero to thriving agency.
ichael never planned on becoming an entrepreneur. Growing up, he and his brother would use their parents鈥 camcorder to recreate Harry Potter scenes, completely unaware that these playful moments would someday be the seed for a creative career.
After landing a traditional job in media production, Michael realized something was missing. He wasn鈥檛 fulfilled. It wasn鈥檛 just a job鈥攊t was his future. Inspired by his mother, a talented fashion designer from Corea who never fully pursued her dreams due to language barriers, Michael decided to take a leap of faith into entrepreneurship. "Entrepreneurship is creating something from nothing. If you enjoy that process, then self-employment falls in line with that."
Starting his video agency wasn鈥檛 easy. He had zero clients and faced a lot of uncertainty. His first big move鈥$30,000 in social media ads鈥攔esulted in only $1,000 in revenue. Most people would have seen it as a sign to quit. But not Michael.
Instead of giving up, he reframed his failure. With unwavering support from his wife, he took a step back, redefined his offerings, and shifted his focus. He realized entrepreneurship wasn鈥檛 about avoiding failure鈥攊t was about perseverance and adaptability: "Success is inevitable. You can't really fail - the only way to fail is if you actually just give up."
Fast forward to today, and Michael is helping online business owners leverage video to grow their brands. His mission is to simplify video production, empowering other creators to confidently share their messages with the world.
For Michael, success is about more than just revenue. It鈥檚 about the impact he has on others and the balance he鈥檚 found between work and life. 鈥淪uccess to me is about being more present with my family and being able to switch off the always-thinking business brain when I'm with them.鈥
He credits mentorship for much of his growth. "Having mentors has been really important. When they believe in you, you can borrow that belief from them."
Michael鈥檚 journey serves as a reminder: success doesn鈥檛 happen overnight, and it certainly doesn鈥檛 happen without setbacks. But with the right mindset, persistence, and a support system, the path from side hustle is not just possible鈥攊t鈥檚 inevitable.
